I can't believe I get to spend new years alone. I am supposed to be doing a gig with my hubby tonight. I think we are hired as DJs tonight as apposed to live band or kareoke. I really don't want to go. I set up all the music and tore the equipment down in my music room. Hubby is off setting up right now and our daughter has agreed to drive 200 miles to come and take my place. God bless her.We have been doing this for years and I am such a wreck "the day of" usually. Now I am happily making them a stew to have before they go and I will stay home with the four pugs. Everyone thinks I'm nuts for wanting to spend new years with the pugs instead of a bunch of bikers. I keep trying to tell them the pugs are much better company. LOL. I have recently gone on venflaxamine...4 months....so they are all concerned that I want to be alone but I am in heaven. Is that wierd to you guys. I dun't want to be a downer, I just don't like crowds and I have put up with them for soooo long in the type of work we have done. Being the music and we just gave up our greenhouse buisness of 20 years and I've done farm markets all my life. That is with a very busy stall requiring dealing with hundreds of people every Saturday morning in the summer. I just want to be alone.

I don't think that it's weird to want to be alone, I like to get some alone time too, I just don't get it often. Also I wanted to add that I am having a pug slumber party tonight, our pug named bubba is having his brother named buster stay the night tonight. They are seven months old and are running all through the house playing, having a blast, I can totally understand wanting to stay home with the pugs.

i stayed at home last night too!! my friends went out to the fireworks, my family went to church, i decided to stay at home with my two maltese pups (well... really, they're dogs - 11 and 10yrs old, but still my babies) and we watched a crappy movie and saw the fireworks on tv and then went to bed.

hope your new year's eve celebration is as awesome as mine was.

Gimme ice...You too? I loveee pugs and they are always puppies. Well, it's 1 am here and I did not spend new years alone. My son in law decided he was going to stay home too and work on his art work. This is also the son in law that carved me a 14 inch high music note out of alabaster for christmas. Yes he really did, It is absolutely beautifull. Anyway, I didn't have time to get sentimental and depressed tonight. And I did learn a lot about my stone carving. Where he got the rock...how many hundred hours are in it. So all in all, it probably worked out for the best. He is different because he's an artist but I am also because I am a musician. I play many instruments. He has been trying for a long time to really win me over and I have always told him I respect him because he makes my daughter happy. But I think he finally got me. I hope I am not off subject too much but this carved music note has been a big deal for me. It has really picked up my spirits. Everyone can't believe he did that and for me? It is his second piece [he also paints] And he has a showing in March that he has to paint and sculpt for. I wish you could see it. It has really boosted my spirits. And I know it is not something he would have chose to do. So I guess you would say we "bonded" sigh...
