Hi I am new here. I have been taking meds. now for 10 years. I tried to stop about a year ago. I had a relapse: I became seriously depressed again . I always get anxious when I have to travel by plane. The meds. seem to cut through the anxiety. However I dont want to quit trying to do without meds. I have a therapist and a psychiatrist. As far as i can see I have a great team. I started an exercise program at the local gym today. I had always exercised in the past, but took a break for about a year and a half. I still walked about 3 times a week for an hour. i would like to get my eating under control and together with the exercise program, I am hoping that I will eventually be able to stop the meds. I am an artist and have become quite socially isolated. My husband and I go out with his brother and wife , otherwise we have few friends that we see on a regular basis. i have kept myself occupied by volunteering at an animal shelter and doing art work. I have a son who lives at the other end of the country and so I dont see him and my brother and sister often.Compared to South Africa, it gets so dark here (W. Canada)in the winter Pleased to meet you all
