Hey everyone!! The days are getting longer and the sun is getting brighter!! I decided to buy a tanning package, and went twice this past week. Just enough to get in the light, and it feels so good!! It is really helping with my depressed feelings. I am also going to go for a nice long walk today since it is getting a little warmer outside. I have decided to do what I think is best for my husband and I . I love all the grandkids, and so does he, but it is time for our son and his wife to figure out their own lives, especially since there are four little ones involved. Live gets so involved that we forget to take care of ourselves. I find myself hurrying to do the chores and not spending time with the horses that we worked so hard to have, so I can hurry over to my son's to take over with the little ones so they can clean up their latest disaster. We all do this! I will always help them when they really need me, but they chose their way, and I will now be Nan, not disaster relief. Plans are to maybe move south in a couple of years when hubby retires. Daughter and her family would like to be close to us, and that would work out good. So, let's enjoy the light today!! Carol

Carol,

That is wonderful. I find tanning very helpful for my depression as well. I think I might follow suit with your idea of taking some nice walks as well. It supposed to be 55 here tomorrow and that is alot better then the 30 degree weather we have been having.
I also think taking time out for you, your husband and your horses is a wonderful idea.
Good luck and keep us posted.

Carol -- Good for you for taking care of yourself. I hope I can follow your example of taking walks someday soon. I used to walk once or twice a day with my dogs, and I miss that.

Hey, I'm glad you are benefitting from the sunshine and enjoying going tanning! I hope it's nice weather there so you can go out walking and soak up the sunlight. Here it's good weather, 12c (55f), and going to be up to 16c (62f) at the weekend! It feels like spring! (And it was snowing and icy just the other week...) I'm glad you're enjoying the weather you're having!
