Hello, I'm new to this site, and am very glad I found it. I am a man who suffers from depression and anxiety. I live in a place where there is limited resources for my conditions. There are no support groups that I can join, so it's really tough to find people who suffer with the same aliments that I do. My girlfriend is very supportive of me, and really tries to understand what I'm going thru...but sometimes can't understand why I just can't be happy, channal all of my negative talk and ides to positive ones. Just gets frustrating. The rest of my family really don't understand it. So, my support group is non-existant..no parachute to say when things are rough. anyways...just wanted to present myself..and am looking forward to talking to people...thanks...artichack

hi and welcome to pc, artichack!!! this is a warm and caring community so i'm very glad you found us. sorry you don't have much support for your depression. your girlfriend sounds like a loving person so i'm glad she is in your life. this is not the total solution but exercising each day elevates one's mood. it could be brisk walking, a gym work out or what ever. you didint' mention if you are on medication for depression. some ppl benefit from this...i do. just a thought...and meanwhile try that exercise!! it will help.
glad you have joined us!
