Sometimes I wonder if it is worthwhile trying to make personal contact. I try and that trying seems to push people away. Maybe I try too hard or maybe I am doing something wrong. This is my most vulnerable point and why I tend to isolate. The pain of running against a brick wall just hurts too much.

What about joining a support group just FOR people with diagnoses? I have found all my true friends there, that kind of setting is very conducive to real, solid friendships..

I know what you mean. I'm terrible at getting to know new people. Sometimes it feels like so much effort that I'll isolate just because it's easier.

Hang in there. We'll both get there eventually.
