ive been feeling a little anxious about seeing my counsellor tomorrow - and havent had much sleep lately.
there are woodlice in my room. all over my curtains, on my walls i feel like bugs are crawling all over me. they're definitely actually there - when i look on myself there isnt anything, im just feeling it - but theyre all over my curtians and that wall... i feel physically sick. theyre different in size and shape... but theres loads of them. it sounds irrational and stupid but i feel like theyre crawling towards me. what do i do? i cant sleep with these here - im just... trapped, by my desk on the other side of the room. ive never been scared of bugs before. i cant sleep on the sofa... ill still feel like theyre crawling on me. i feel like theyre by my ears, on my face, on my neck, climbing down my arms and legs. im stuck. im clinically depressed with anxiety. im not hallucinating... im just petrified. what do i do? |

I'm sorry the little buggers are bothering you. I think I would feel un-nerved to say the least, if they were all over my room too.
What I know about woodlice is that they do not carry bacteria or disease, and they do not come from filth. Typically, if there is an abundance of them in any environment that it is because there is moisture, so check around you room or house and look for how moisture would be getting into your home/room and try and resolve that; they should start to go away when the moisture is gone. If they are staying mainly on one wall, you might want to check for a leak. If the wood/wall is staying moist on the inside, this could be what is attracting them. They don't bite, and most often they feed off of dead plant tissue. So if you have a lot of plant life in the room, or outside, you may want to make sure it stays tidy and cleared out. They don't actually eat wood, but they like to hang out underneath wood planks, rocks, etc. Other than being an annoyance they are relatively harmless. If you do have a moisture issue, I would be more concerned about the possibility and probability of black mold. But I don't know how common that is in the UK. I hope this helps a little... Other than that, I would contact your local pest control agency and see if they have a suggestion on how to get rid of them. But, if you don't solve the moisture issue, they will probably come back again.
