Been putting off my yearly checkup for a year now.... Several reasons. I'm pretty unsure how (un)professional the new clinic will be.... I'm rather sensitive to being told crap... Also the referral from the old clinic didn't come through because they didn't want to send it (laziness... IDK, so new clinic thought I made things up). After pushing enough they sent it and my old doc emailed me some lies. To cover he forgot who I was and what he told me last time (that he would refer me).
ARGH. Anyway, finally I made the appointment, by now I hoped all paperwork would be fixed. I got my appt end October. It comes out the doc has no idea what I will be doing there, so I hope she reads up on the referral and knows what yearly blood tests I have. Because I don't remember them all.... I have lupus and I should be followed closely but no one seems to care here. You have to nag and nag to get something resembling health care. If this doc doesn't know what to do with me, I will ask to be referred to a specialist in another city. Then I'll probably have to wait a year. I love this. I really do.

Europe. i just have this gut feeling that my ex doctor's lies will come haunt me. I haven't yet figured out what approach to take if it comes up and is used against me. I hate lies. And I hate people who are of higher status because when they lie you stand no chance correcting the lie. It's always assumed the patient is the liar.
