i've always been blind. I was born visually impaired, and due to my eye conditions I went totally blind. i can see light out of one eye and that's it. I'm also Albino. This means for me that I have no pigment in my skin, eyes, or hair. It causes people to stare, and be constantly rude. It's not truly that bad, but being sixteen and completely blind is very rough. It makes it really hard to go out, and just pretend it's not happening, and that people aren't staring.

Welcome to the Community, gnomebella. You have been dealt a hard hand to play. People can be so inconsiderate. I hope you find a way to put this in perspective and implement a healthy way to deal with it.

I wish you well.
Thanks for this!

Welcome to psychcentral

Do you have a therapist?

I hope you find this site supportive.

Yes, i have a therapist. She works with blind people all day on a daily basis. In fact, that's all she works with.
