What a nice welcome, thank you! 😊
My wife is having an extra dialysis treatment this evening, and will go again tomorrow. (She normally goes Tues/Thurs/Sat) She will probably sleep all day Sunday. I have Mon off work, so hopefully we will do a little something fun, even if it's just watch a movie in bed. Sometimes listing all her conditions gives the impression we are seniors, but she is 38, and i am 39, just for reference. Does anyone have Labor Day plans? |

Welcome Gr3tta! I am sure the medical stuff must be a huge stressor for both of you. It's a lot at any age. My LD plans are work and work! That's probably not a bad thing, but one can never be totally certain where human beings are involved in close quarters. A few days of vacation after that!😊

Do you take a bolus of insulin with your food? Could you need to adjust your correction factor? I hope you feel better soon. |

Okay.... I have good news and bad news. The good: I had blood work taken for my upcoming surgery. My glucose reading was 90 (that was still with no medication). The bad news I am trying hard to exercise but i hate to sweat. We have had a record 41+days of oppressive humidity and a record number of 90 degree plus days. This has impacted exercising a d I am physically losing ground. I was stronger two months ago. What to do!? Working is also impacting this....any ideas?? Just heard...5 more days of Florida summer weather this week.....UGH!!!

Hello everyone I am new! Would some of you mind giving me some advice? I have been injured for almost two years and I have been feeling very lonely lately. I live in an area where people highly value exercising, and I feel down I can't participate or attend any fun events/places. I have noticed people aren't very understanding and get bored with my suggestions a Does anyone have suggestions on how I can meet new people where this won't be seen as a nuisance?

Weather like that is just cruel. Wondering when the heat eases off that you will feel much more energetic? Years ago when I had a treadmill at home I would put the fan on directing the air to where I was walking. But maybe in this heat don't be too hard on yourself it's just so draining. Plus if you arent well - pending op - be kind to yourself. |

welcome Quietmouse~
no one can really suggest something without quizzing you on your interests and abilities... BUT i can say that i really enjoyed singing, and would often find choral groups in which to participate. you'd be amazed at what a great workout singing can be~ and it does help you to remember to Breathe~! __________________ AWAKEN~! |

So when you're done laughing, this really IS a practical suggestion for ladies in particular who exercise is warm rooms or weather: tuck a few ice cubes in your sports bra. It's very refreshing, and as they melt, the wet fabric continues to cool. In a loose garment it just looks like you've worked up a sweat. 😁

I am my own worst enemy. I have been binging for weeks. The indigestion is so bad at night that have to sleep in a recliner. Don't suppose I am doing my soon to be gone gall bladder any good. Don't know how to steer this in another direction. I am on three types of meds that increase appetite. Living on my own and feeling lonely. Maybe I should put this in the cheese and whine thread.

If your indigestion includes heartburn, lying on your left side can provide some relief, because your stomach is the left side. I hope you feel better soon. |
