Hey guys,

I really need some advice. My Twin Sister was diagnioised officially with ME when we were 16 years old but she was ill from the age of 8. The doctors etc thought it was dead weird that i was fine and didn't display any of the symptoms.

However, over the past week i have been very ill. I am normally a very well person i am never ill. I take bad when i have a wee cold ie got the sniffles. Anyways i put it down to my shift pattern as i had just finished Night Shift. I have sore legs- my legs feel tired and like jelly and 1 day i couldn't even move out of bed. I have a sore head- this is all over my forehead and at my eyebrows it feels like its behind my eyes. I wear glasses and this obviously doesn't help. I feel really knackered and all i have done for the past 3 days is sleep on and off. My sleep pattern is so fooked up due to shift work. I have been keeping a sleep diary since the start of the year. I am gonna go to my docs sometime next week when i am not working.

But i am wanting some advice. Do i have ME? My sis was the same way i am when she was diagnoisised. So i am a wee bit worried

Any help what so ever would be muchly appreciated

Thanks

Not dumb! http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Chronic_fatigue_syndrome

(another "name" for the syndrome I believe)

If you're worried about it at all... go see a doctor. To me? It sounds like you're dealing with normal symptoms having to do with stress and stuff and normal day-to-day activities... but only your doctor will know for sure. Hope your appointment goes okay. Let us know.

Hey guys,

I have an appointment at my Doctor's next Thursday Morning. This was the earliest i could get.

I am feeling better but still not 100%, the feeling of being tired is still here. I have resorted to buying over the counter sleeping tablets. Which seem to be helping. But i can at the moment sleep for Scotland

Thank You for inquiring

I will keep you guys posted about the Doctor's appointment

Hey guys,

Right the good news is i am not developing ME.

The bad news is the docs just think i am pretty much feeling ill due to lack of sleep. I work shift work so my sleep is all over the place. I am to cntinue with my sleep diary, continue with my no eating or drinking after 6pm when i can and also taking my herbal sleeping tablets. The doc said she was not wanting to give me sleeping pills as they are addictive.

I am gonna try cammomile tea(even though i hate tea) which is meant to be good for you.

So pretty much i am non he wiser

Fingers crossed something works
Thanks for this!
