((((Silentandscared))))

It happens to me everytime too. Im not sure why, either.

Maybe your other parts are really tense physically, and it can cause muscle discomfort?

Take care - Edgar

I never got any body pains except a major headache when I switched. but that changed once I was co conscious cause I could share in feeling the emotions and pains that my alters had.

Hi Silent...... for you, if okay.

From what I have learned, each alter can have their own health issues to a certain point. Some alters have a higher anxiety than others in which the body may respond with tense muscles and pain. I've also heard that it's not uncommon to have somatic aches and pains with switching. Not meaning it's in your head, but meaning that our emotional issues have a way of impacting our bodies in a physical way. Kind of like, if a person has heart disease, their illness can lead to emotional/mental troubles like depression.

I hope this helps. I get pains too!

Body pain has always been part of the whole deal for me. So, yep. Although sometimes I have pain for weeks and months (and years). argh!

Pain is just how life has always been for me. We hurt inside and out. Sometimes it gets better and sometimes worse. It's no fun, sorry!

Sometimes when one of us is out, he'll feel pain right where he was shot the first time.

Dear Silentandscared,
Sometimes somatic pain is memory. I can be like a "body flashback" of sorts. There are times when I can't walk very well. My legs hurt. I shuffle. Yes, this is my "old man" or a "baby's body" remembering.

I think the mind is very powerful. I have seen my mind do things to my body and my experience in this world that put me in awe.

Blessings to You. Hang in there.

Robert and Laura

Tahnk you everyone for all your replies......l guess we was just getting a bit scared and wondering if all this was something else.

The pains we are getting in our head are so much worse... like a piercing pain that in right through my right eye and above it.

The pain in my legs is like all my muscles are locked out and so rigid and then it leaves them feeling like bruised and very sore to touch and walk.

The ains in my neck , shoulders , and hands are the same as leg pains, so basically when we are switching lots the physical after effects are getting worse and worse and we just dont understand why.

My head is left feeling like a fog where all is hazy and we cant remember what just happened although we know that we feel very bad physically

We are just so fed up with feeling so crap all the time...sorry we just needed to vent

I know when some of my alters are out they hold their breath. Others stiffen their muscles. Me, Deb51, feels sore or dizzy after they come out. And if somebody comes out really strong so I am way in the back and then someone else comes out really strong and then I have to come back in a hurry like at the end of therapy sometimes or if the situation changes and they don't know how to deal I can get really icky headaches...thank goodness they don't last long.
