Hello Everyone!

We would like to take a moment and let you all know that we need your help in making this forum a safe and calm place once again. We understand that things are out of whack at the moment and some of you have not felt safe or welcome here. We are truly sorry that it has come to that point and have a few suggestions to help everyone regroup and start fresh

We would like to remind all of you of the following guidelines that apply not only here but in all of PC.

  • All members of PC are welcome in all forums. As long as each member treats each other with respect and the way they themselves would like to be treated, it's all good
  • None of us are to question anyone about their diagnosis, publicly or privately through pm.
  • If you find a member who upsets you or triggers you, please do your self care and use the ignore feature. The ignore feature was designed to protect you, but you must be responsible and use it. While it may not be what you consider to be the best way to keep yourself safe, it is certainly the best thing PC has to offer you in that realm. PC cannot manage your triggers for you, that is something you must do for yourselves.
  • If you come across a thread/post that upsets you, there are a couple of different things you can do. You can choose not to respond. If you choose to respond, please do self care before you respond so that your post falls within guidelines of being supportive/respectful.
  • Please refrain from mentioning an upset with other members publicly in your posts/threads. This does not feel good to the member you are having issues with, nor with others who are reading your post/thread and is not supportive. If you must discuss the upset with that member, please take it to pm and try to work through your differences privately.
  • In moving forward, all posts MUST be supportive in nature. You can disagree with a member, but it must be done respectfully. Any post that is not supportive/respectful will be pulled from the thread and the member will be pm'd.
  • Remember, use "I" statements when discussing ideas, options, suggestions. Example: "I have found in my situation........" or "For me, I find this works......"
Let's all take some deep cleansing breathes and remember why we are here. We are all in need of support and we all want to give support. We don't always agree with each other and that's ok, we don't have to. But we do have to be respectful to one another.....as we (the team) have the utmost respect for all of you!

As always, we are just a pm away if you need us for anything. You can vent, you can scream, you can cry and you can even laugh.....we're here for you and we want to help.

May we all share in each others experiences so that we may all learn and grow. That, dear friends, is the name of the game!

With much love and respect,

bipolar_bear

Sorry, I'm not Sabby, but here is some information. According to the guidelines:

People registering more than one account may lose all accounts on the forum, and all forum access.
which can be found here:

http://forums.psychcentral.com/showthread.php?t=3643 It says in bold only one account per member there. It took a while to find though. It probably would be good to have a quicklink to the community guidelines in the page footer?
Thanks for this!

Thank you for caring, for trying so hard to keep this as safe a place as you can. You all are trying but it is up to each one of us as posting here is needing to be responsible and respectful of all. Your efforts and concern mean so much to each one here. Again, thank you all the team for reminding us all and caring enough to do so. I know for me, this means so much.

Thank you,
