I'm curious if anyone ever feels like they aren't really in their body? Let me explain a little bit before you answer. Today i've been feeling weird really weird. i have been dizzy all day, feeling lightheaded, and also like i'm going to pass out. (i acctually did pass out earlier for like 30 secs.) I know that most people who dissociate don't feel like they are always in their body, but i've been feeling like i'm in a car going about 30 mph but in reality i'm walking really slow cause i don't want to pass out or lose my balance. like i said i'm just curious if anyone else has ever felt like this..... thanks for your time.

it MIGHT be more of a physical thing, however I have experienced episodes of vertigo. By that I mean I turn my head and either I spin or it's like everything else is spinning. I don't really pass out but it makes it super hard to keep balance so when it happens I'm usually stumbling around. I've thought of it more as a physical thing though.

Dear Tigersassy,
It may be DID it may not. I would be inclined to get it checked by a doctor if it continues to happen. |

It sounds like it could be some dissociative symptoms, but I would suggest speaking with your primary Doc about it. It sounds as if it could be something more medically based too.
I would check in with your Doc...and maybe get some blood drawn, and let them know of your symptoms. If you have a T, I would share this with them too. I have felt like I am not in my body as well....or things just feel strange, like I'm not attached. For me it is dissociative. Take care!! ![]()

I agree with the others, I'd get checked out by a doctor if it continues, and also talk to your T about it ![]() (I know how hard it can be to see doctors... ![]()
