I read before that sometimes when people dissociated they went into their own little world (quite literally)

So I was wondering if false memories would also qualify as that.

Because in a sense your mind isn't in touch with reality if it's making a totally false memory as said events are occurring

...so yeah

yes i think false memories would also qualify as that - you have left reality and gone to another place and that is what dissassociation is all about

i think the mind has to fill in the gaps - eihter it goes to sleep and covers upthe space - or it makes memories to hide the holes - or to replace those that are way too painful to bear.

yes False memoirs do happen, but I honestly believe the more painful the memoir is the higher the chances are they are real. It our indepedent personality that could be questioned. But to say that our torture is a false memoir with scares all over our body. You can not make me believe those are false. Only the people that do not want the truth know can clam them to be false. Don't forget the people that do not want to believe that bad things happen to good people.

don't worry anderson, from what I understand my false memories are happy ones to cover up what I assume to be bad ones but so far I only have one memory that I know is false because people pointed it out to me, others are just really distorted, and the rest as far as I know are fine they are just out of order...
