My partner and I were in the Shenandoah Valley last weekend taking in the fall colors. While there we stopped in a little art gallery where I found some beautiful writing (books and framed poetry) by an exceptional author who never wrote until she went through some really bad stuff (her story was included with each piece). I spent an hour in this incredibly healing section of this gallery; I was awed by her work.

Anyway, I signed up for her daily poetry emails, and I wanted to share these with everyone here. Each morning I love checking my email and finding a new piece of such beautiful encouragement.

It's my hope to begin facilitating a writing group again, and I'm considering using this author's books as a foundation for that work.

Hopefully, I'm not violating any posting rules by including this here. If so, my apologies.

Peace,
writing

Note: This writer has made her name and work very public, so I know her privacy is not being violated by sharing this.

" she reached as deep as she could
inside her pain.
somewhere in there was a piece of
herself she needed to forgive.
and only then could her healing be complete. "

~terri st. cloud

And the poem I bought in the form of a painted piece in that little gallery:

" more than anything -
i want to trust a journey
that I don't understand. "

~terri st. cloud
Thanks for this!

I'm so glad you want to write, and that you found Terri's work encouraging. Your niche of writing for men will be a good angle. As you begin, feel free to PM me with some of your pieces; I'd love to read them.

Peace,
writing
