I already posted this in the teen section, so I apologize for repeating myself.

Okay, so I don't know if I'm allowed to do this because I'm new, I really don't know anything right now, so please forgive me for doing anything wrong I just really need to talk to somebody, anybody who's been there to help me figure out what's going on...I'm kinda terrified.

Also, I don't know if I should use the teen or adult forum; I'm 17, but really mature for my age so...

Ummm so I've been having DID-like experiences for about three years...I've managed to keep it controlled (mostly), but have been really stressed out lately because of school and other stuff. It's gotten to the point where I have transitions (I think that's the word...) almost daily. Yesterday, during clinicals at a nursing home (I'm in a CNA program), I had a nervous breakdown of sorts and the instructor (who is also my school nurse--I just moved here last year so I've only known her for like a year) met one of my alters (Remy) and was really concerned and freaked out. She wanted to tell my parents, but I told her it would be more detrimental than helpful (which is true); I told her I'd tell my psychiatrist. I'd like to keep this promise, but it honestly depends on who I am when I talk to her :/

I have five personalities: myself (Sam), Koda, Anji, Remy, and Kyle (he's rather new). Ummm...anything else that would help, let me know.
Thanks for this!

Hi Sam & all
Welcome. I don't see why you can't post here, just cause you're a teen. Maybe the mods will know the answer to that one.

The only advise I can give you is tell your T and really talk to her about this. AND....Keep a journal. Try to bring it in to your T and let her see what "you" all have written. Has she dx' you with DID yet or is she waiting on more information? Good luck and try not to worry. Ask any of us about what you're unsure of ok?
Thanks for this!

Welcome atreyuxbfmvx666. You are absolutely welcome to post here. I am glad you found us.

If there is a school councelor you feel working it through or the nurse you have been talking to maybe you can.come up with a way that is good for you. You will know when you are ready.

attentionThis is an old thread. You probably should not post your reply to it, as the original poster is unlikely to see it.
