wantto, Do you think maybe it is a reaction after the stress has let up some? You dissociate while the stressfull event is happening because you "have to" react "have to perform" and then afterwards there is what I call a "melt down" of sorts.

I am really glad that your son is ok and on meds. Can you take some time to be just for you?

Take care.

what place said, wantto was what i said last nite. i believe that's EXACTLY what's going on. doesn't make it any easier but might answer the "why".

i'm still waiting for the storm to wash over me here, fore i know it's coming storm after the storm i've always done what you're doing right now. you probably have to, and just recognizing it with your increased awareness.

be safe, my friend.

What a huge relief that son is now taking meds wantto! How stressful and scary for everyone in that situation. I know I'd be waiting for the shoe to drop with that much stress backlogged.

I know you've said how hard it is to trust in letting go. Practice and more practice is what it takes. You're getting there by even posting this and letting us know you are scared and you feel like you're falling apar.

I'm sure that a while back you wouldn't have even been able to share that with us. Look how far you've come!

Gentle hugs and lots of kindness for this next rough patch.
kindly,

Thank you place. Yes, I think that is true. I guess I do better when things are in an uproar. At least I know how to react. And can stay in control.

I will be fine. Thank you for your replies. I really appreciate them.

Glad he's back on his meds. Wish meds were easier on us. Sometimes the side effects are worse than the illness it's trying to fix.
I can relate to being calm outside, then inside it's a mess. Sometimes I rather have a bunch of stress outside, makes it easier to "forget" & push down, brush aside, what I'm feeling inside. The "just don't want to deal" thing.
Big hugs!!
Love,
RM

Thank you for the big hugs. Yes, it's a lot easier to deal when there is crap going on isn't it. Then we know how to react, what to do. Thanks for your understanding and support.

We have a son who is schizophrenic, & I always cope ok during the crisises, always have, any kind of crisis. Its afterwards that gets you every time. It could be a reaction to the adrenalin leaving the body.
I wanted to post to you before to say you didn`t give your son bipolar disorder & we didn`t give ours schizophrenia. I bet we were all good mothers because mostly our own mothers were not. We`re sorry we couldn`t post earlier.
Take time to care for yourself. It should be nearly summer in your hemisphere, I always find summer easier than winter, so I hope that you do too.
Let time pass. (((wanttoheal))) PM me any time if you would like to.

I'm glad he took them. Fingers crossed that it goes smoothy tonight. I hope you are doing OK today. Just remember to stop and breath. TC
