I'm in the midst of a something, keeping myself safe and sound during whatever it is. Uncomfortably floaty. Definitely fit description of depersonalization during this.

Cleaning my apartment, rearranging furniture from time to time, is one way I keep myself grounded usually, I actually enjoy most of it. Curiously, a few days ago I did a seemingly simple thing, I cleaned and then moved my frig to another location in my kitchen. I found all manner of surprise mold hidden in freezer, so cleaned that out, then moved frig to a much more efficient location.

What's notable is that ever since, I've been way outta sorts, floaty, as if moving my furniture and such, I now don't know where I am. And I recall going through this also in the past, but at the time I didn't catch hold of what was happening.

I could move the frig back, but, nah, the move is good. I'll adapt. My brain will figure it out.

Til then I may be kinda tilty and spaced, yet my sense of humor is returning, yay! Something about all this is amusing. To be amused amidst the pain is a gift.

I don't do well w/ change. I would feel like I was in a new time, new space. Sounds like Star Trek. At least you have a good sense of humor on what's going on. I like that!
Love,

Thanks, both of you, now if only we could devise a drink or pill or something that helps folks regain their sense of humor, without bothersome side effects.

Maybe we can invent a chocolate treat, with no side effects of any sort for anyone, that encourages us to find humor and amusement, plus helps us feel grounded if we want. Whoa
Thanks for feedback too, always appreciated.

Oh no calorie chocolate. That would be great idea.

I think it is good that you can find and learn to adapt to things that are triggering to you. It is bound to help in the future with more "serious" things I would think.

Take care.
