Ok, so I've never really been diagnosed technically, though I am on meds for depression and anxiety, my psychiatrist labeled me as having dysphoria last time I saw him, which is funny because I was going to bring that up with him because that's also what I think my problem is/has been. But I also feel a pull like some days I'm not quite my regular self, more of an alter ego, if you will- she comes out more when I'm intoxicated, but she seems to be fluctuating her power more duiring sober regular days of my life. like a day at a time, or sometimes, mere glimpses of her- like saying things out of nowhere and I don't feel myself for a bit. Does this make any sense to anyone or am I just overanalyzing things?

we cant tell you for sure if you have any mental disorders. but there is a line in the diagnostics for DID that states the symptoms/problems can not be because of to alcohol or drugs. check with a psychiatirst they can diagnose you and let you what is up with your problems /alter ego/switching into alter egos is.

I would bring up your concerns with the psychiatrist. There are several criteria for both of the diagnoses you care concerned about that a psychiatrist would be more able to identify than any of us.
I hope you and the dr. come to a conclusion that helps you direct your treatment effectively! |

There are a few prerequisites for coming up with a diagnosis of DID. One of them is that there must be two other distinct alters to be diagnosed with DID.
Your first question was, did you Have bpd? Did you mean Bi-polar disorder or Borderline Personality disorder or Dissociative Identity Disorder? We do care about you. Please contact a psychiatrist to get the right diagnoses and therefore treatment. None of us here are qualified to make a diagnosis. There are differing treatments for the each disorder. Please feel free to come back and chat. |
