i think i am co-conscious with the alters i know of. i talk with them and know what they are saying in therapy. they seem to know what i am saying too. bad part is that there seems to be no privacy, something that not everyone is happy with. so, is it a good thing? does it mean we're getting somewhere or what?? This whole journey is so exhausting. Does anyone ever "see" their alters like in their mind??

I see Zack in my mind all the time he and I talk to each other almost every day and no I don't think it is bad at all maybe the privacy part but not anything else, u should be glad they are there with u even though u don't get the privacy u want but at least u have them with u and think about it they are with every day they know u and they are ur best friends even if they are a bit odd sumtimes they are still ur friends, so just remember that they are there for u, no matter what. Peace Out.

imo if everyone is trying to work with it, rather than fear or fight it, communication can only help!

I think co-consciousness is meant to be a very good thing indeed. An important step on the way to recovery.

But it can feel quite unplesant. I don't much like it :-(

The more you are co-consciousness the more the boundaries between you and your alters start to blur. The more you are aware of all that they are aware of and the more they are aware of all that you are aware of the more integrated you are becoming as a person.

Of course it takes a lot of time and hard work.
But it is a very good sign indeed.

Sometimes when I am fairly stressed... I hallucinate my alters. Sort of see them in the world. Bit like a ghost or something. But it is them. My mental picture of them.
