Well last day of therapy! I am so far disconnected its unreal!!!! Cant even think back the work ive done there...its like it didn't happen. Think i may need to understand my DID more cos i am so confused. I feel nothing at all! i mean like it was a dream! sorry to go on but its so surreal. I was only told that i showed signs of DID this time last year! I am waiting to here from a clinic who are specialist in DID but i have to pay, but i may be able to get a discount as im unemployed.

did you check with your treatment people to see if this was part of the therapeutic components of intensive treatment programs. a standard part of intensive treatment programs is learning how to be emotionally detached under problematic situations. Id say terminating a treatment program would cause a cerrtain amount of stress and anxiety. and if your intensive treatment program centered on grounding, emotionally detaching from stressful situations and looking at things in a logical manner and using self nurturing and solving the situation that is causing you stress and anxiety, then your feeling detached is a normal part of your treatment process. try instead of focusing on the detachment focus on the fact that you are leaving this treatment program. talk with your treatment people about how terminating makes you feel, talk about after termination care and plans so you know what is going to happen next, all parts of you whether you have DID or not can get used to the process of terminating and will know everything is going to be ok.

Did you check with your medical team that may be prescribing any medications? medications can cause this kind of detachment of emotions.

I see you have PTSD and panic on your profile. this kind of detachment is pretty normal part of PTSD and panic disorders because both contain elements of dissociation. not necessarily DID but they do have dissociation on various levels that are not DID like not being able to remember things under stress and depersonalization which is different than having DID is feeling exactly how you describe - a feeling of detachment from emotions, sometimes having trouble remembering things under stress. Talk with your treatment team they can help you understand the difference between feeling normal realms of dissociation, and those of the dissociation disorders like DID and depersonalization. they can even tell you the difference between DID and depersonalization.

to me your post says you are having a problem with the termination thats when your symptoms began this time so talk with your treatment people they can help you re ground, and take care of what ever is causing you to feel this way.

if you dont want to go to your treatment team, you just went through a treatment program which for so many weeks taught you how to handle your problems. sit down, re ground, relax and use the tool they taught you. you dont have to remember them, intensive treatment programs are done in such a way that you should be able to do the work out of habit from doing the process so many weeks. Sit back, close your eyes, think of something relaxing and it will all come back to you either mentally or through automatic response from the treatment sessions.

you can do this I have confidence in you.
