A few weeks ago, we started taking a medication for our migraines. It was making it so we could not feel or hear each other
(in other words, whomever was out could not feel or hear anyone on the inside) and our host, Amanda, went away for about a week.
When she came back it was discovered that she had lost her memory of having alters!!! She thinks she is just "hearing voices" again!!!
She gets annoyed when we try to talk to her. She also had no memory of "going away"... or anything that went on while she was away.
I am thinking she did not try to go away. It was probably just happened as a result of too much stress.

She has a girlfriend who is DID as well and she has tried talking to Amanda and reassuring her that she is not crazy.
Her husband has tried talking to her. Nothing is working. I am afraid she is going to check herself back into the mental
hospital because she thinks she is crazy.

And earlier tonight, Amanda came back for a few minutes and our littles were crying and stuff because of things that are going on in our life right now... and that made her disappear yet again.

I am at a loss at what to do. I have never encountered anything like this before, so I have no idea how to get her to come back...
and then to regain her memory of us. We do not have a therapist, so our only support is the husband... and the girlfriend and her alters
(who live a state away... they could probably really help, but they can't come to see us because they start school on Tuesday)

Please help us in any way that you can... even if it is just offering hugs and support. We are all scared and stressed beyond belief.

(((Miracle)))
Please know that you are not the only one that this has happen to. That is why we do not take meds for long periods of time. We have alters that like to take charge then we all get hurt.
Please know that we are listening and hope those with in know that we are thinking about it. Have you talked to your doctor about the new meds???? just a thought. but know that we are listening even if we are not responding when we are working on our selves.

((((((Miracle)))))))

Were sorry that its happening. When we have had that problem we eventually realized that someone always keeps the voice despite medication and we take some pretty powerful medications. I hope that this is the case in your situation.

Know our thoughts are with you and we hope to see you around more.

Later. Crew

we simply told him that the med didn't work...
so he gave us something else...
hopefully the new one will change things for the better.
*crossing fingers*
just don't know how long it might take to see a change though
(ie for Amanda to come back and remember being DID)...
so it's a wait and see game. *sigh*
