Hi everybody,

Every Wednesday from 8-9 PM there is a scheduled DID Littles Group chat, led by me (Starrina).
It seems that people have lost their interest for this chat because the chat isn’t visited much, if at all. In case people are still interested in continuing this chat: please let me know or post a message here. I don’t want to make this chat inactive if there is still enough response to continue it.
All reactions are welcome!

Starrina

I have a "view point" that you might want to consider in weighting your decision. I dont take part in these kinds of chats because I am integrated so if my view point is way off please disregard it.

here we work with all kinds of people. those that are DID primarily work with the more seasoned therapists and interns but I have noticed a difference among those that come to the center and to the mental unit. Some DID's have control over their systems where they can dissociate on command by exposing their self to the corresponding trigger that relates to particular alters. Others that come here have no control over their systems therefore are unable to switch upon command. We have people with limited communication skills among the alters and hosts too. sometimes theres an alter who is unable to communicate with the host and alters therefore the other alters and host do not know this individualized alter exists. its just pure luck sometimes that they have switched into this type of alter in the presence of the therapists, psychiatrists and interns here, enabling one of us to document that alter within the persons files.

my point is that there may be people interested but cannot predict when they are going to be a child alter. they cant say ok body on wensday at 8 to 9 we are going to be little susie so we can play with little lucy in chat.

they have to go on with their lives and on the occasions they switch into little susie hope it corresponds with wensday at 8 to 9.

there also may be people here that are not aware that when they switch into little susie they went to the group. the adult host may not be interested in the group, but little susie is but Susie has no way to communicate with the other alters in the system and cannot communicate with the host, so no one within nor the host knows little susie exists. its just luck of the draw sometimes that the person has switched into little susie a few times on the right day and time that corresponds with your group.

this may be a couple reasons why there has been a decline in attendance for your group.
Thanks for this!

I have the same predicament as Miracle1986. We've wanted to get our littles into the chat forever, but they're out so rarely and we often forget when the chat is or that there is a chat for them.
