hi...

i spent some time with one of my partner's male alters the other night, and we had a great discussion. i always love talking to him.

it's interesting, because we were wondering if his presence during a lot of the peak puberty years might have affected the hormones in my partner's body. it must be so interesting for many people to share a body... i personally can't understand that, but i feel privileged to hear about other people's experiences. especially my partner's.

my partner is female, but she has a very significant lady beard. she has recently let it grow, and just be what it is (though that's not easy in this world). it certainly takes some people by surprise. it's quite noticeable. i'm sure there are many reasons why that may exist, but it's certainly something that's interesting to think about. it's not that common exactly.

i wonder too, if having male alters affects the female body in different ways. i wonder if other people/communities may have unique characteristics because of their multi-gendered self.

i think it's ok for everyone to be just the way they are... but i certainly know that my partner has had some interesting challenges as a complicated multi-gendered self.

i hope this is an ok topic to talk about. i dont know if other people have challenges as a multi-gendered self... but i really respect communities that can live together in a body.

thank you for letting me share my thoughts.

take care.
Thanks for this!

Michelle,

I understand how it is to be multi-gendered. I have 9 males that live in this body with us. It is a definite challenge sometimes. We have two 15 year old young men, an older gentleman and six young ones. If you have any specific questions you would like to ask, I am always ready to listen and answer if I can. Just PM me or let us chat sometime. I am ready and willing to help.

Michelle, I wish I could help. I am here to listen and help if able. But I only have one that I am aware of and he will not communicate with me yet. I am still meeting them, so early in the process.
It is an interesting theory tho. It affects other physical things, I am curious about the hormonal developement, interesting question. Thanks for sharing.

My guess is that male alters in a female body would not alter hormone levels. Transgendered alters are only a psychological construct, and not a physical reality. Physiological changes can change between alters, but I would guess these changes are a result of stress hormones and muscle tension rather than anything else.
Hirsuitism is not uncommon in women, and is a hormonal condition. It's causes can be varied, and it can be treated according to its base cause.

I can tell you, being a male "alter" in a female body, that when I get hit "below the belt" as they say, I can still feel it as though I weren't seen as a female at all....

That's an interesting thought! We really can't say if the presence of male alters might affect hormones to the extent that they alter physical appearance. ....We're still mulling it over right now, actually! We are glad you asked. We're glad too, that you are accepting of her decision to just let her body be the way it wants to be - including lady beard.
