I Love what I do. I Love my client's that I work with. But I can't deal with the stress here. I'm very over worked and extremely under paid. I have a 4 year college degree and could make more money working for wal-mart. And I know I could walk back into Wal-mart and have a management job. I was already doing management work there without a college degree.
The only reason I have stayed at this job has been for the insurance. Well now they have told us that our rates are going way up and our benefits are going down. I can't afford to stay here. I'm just making my ends meet as it is. Right now I pay $15 for my T visits. They are going up to $45 a visit and that's only if my T agrees to the new insurance. I'll have to pay another $150 a month to just have my H on my insurance. Have upcoming test to see if I have the same kind of cancer that my brother was dx'ed with. I'm on 4 prescription each month. I still have to have test to find out why I still have blood in my urine. I'm very scared I can't afford this. I don't make but $600 every other week. I can't due this. Many of my co-workers are in the same situation. We are only working here for the insurance. There are a number of us ready to walk out the door, but this job isn't worth it. I'm just needing the courage to leave. I'm just so scared I need the strength and the self confidence to know I'm worth more then this. This is just really stressing me out.

From what you say it does sound like you'd be better off leaving. It's ok working at a job but it's best if they give you something in return, and it sounds like your company isn't doing that anymoreWhatever you decide to do I hope that it'll help you get through life .

i'm late but (((((((((monty))))))))) what a rough situation. it sucks to have a job you like become a place where you can't work because you can't afford to stay there.

you definitely deserve better! i'm sending you lots of courage and self-confidence and i hope that you will find something even better that pays you and treats you like the valuable person you are!

Need to give everyone an update on this situation. They were going to lose most of the stuff with this insurance. I work in a small agency with just 8 of us and then the bosses and interns we have. This affected just the 8 of us and 5 of us said we were leaving. Needless to say they couldn't lose the staff. So yesterday they came up with a list of 12 plans for us to choose from. Sometimes it helps when you ban together and make a lot of noise. But our insurance is only good till the first of the month. HHHHHmmmmm saturday !!! So we had to choose by today. So we all sat down and went over the plans. So it's come out better. I'm still having to pay more but not anything like before, $60, to now $121 a month. But the cost of my dr visits are going down to $10 and the cost of my meds will be lowing. So I'm going to come out almost even. Some aren't, but they went with what was going to be the best for the group. So I'm staying for now. We are also promised a raise in Jan. I'm learning lately that you need to make some noise to get what is best for you. And I'm getting pretty good at it.
