we may have found a puppy!!!! ............we may have found a puppy!!!!

we started going back to the dog rescue place and have been speending time with a puppy. If no one else adopts her she will be coming home with us the first week of next month. she is nice and calm and she learns very quickly. she is a mix between a rotwhiler and husky.
The dalmations wove her already and can't wait for her to come home with us. but are happy that we can go see her almost daily so that we can spend time with her.
we call her sasha and she makes us feel safe when we are with her........

It sounds like you are taking a real interest in this puppy and she in you, Anderson. How old is she or do you know? Will they give both of you some training too to help meet both your needs?

(((( silentwisper))) and ((((HUNNY)))
~
we are going to take puppy training classes and work with her our selfs. she is very good with us. she is about 10 to 11 months old and she is already knee high so she will grow into being a big girl soon. we are starting her training while she is at the center so that she will not be over whelemed being in a new home with a new person.
~
the vet onsite is going to help us start her paper work, the health check and x-rays to make sure she is not show signs of joint problems.
~
I will put her pic online as soon as I can get help putting it here. we may use her pic as our new signiture for a while if we can figure out how to do it.
~
just keep us in your prayers that no one come forward to adopt her before we get next months check. at first we wished that we had saved money but in truth we really had it planed to buy a pure abread. so if this does not workout we still get one just not her but she is helping us with our little ones so much they get sad thinking of her not coming homewith us but at the same time they are not as sad as before. they are finely realising that we are going to get a sevice dog. regardless if it is sasha or not.
~
so they are getting more grounded and surcure in our new enviroment.

what kind of puppy is it? Will it be a big dog when it's grown? Ours is very tiny and will be a hefty 10 pounds when she is grown. At the moment she is laying at my feet exhausted from playing so hard with the cat, her toys, and going potty. I'm so glad you found a puppy for all the clan. i can imagine the excitement of the littles...ours love her already, and she is a great puppy! I hope you enjoy your pup to pieces!!!

I'm sorry we didn't see this thread before! (((((((((((( anderson )))))))))))))))

I recently rescued a deaf blue merle collie (pic on my profile page.)

There is something wonderful in helping an animal that would otherwise meet a very different fate. It is great that you are getting to know this puppy and enjoying already. I would love to see a pic!

Love and hugs.

Anderson,
We went into an SPCA yesterday to see if we could pet some dogs but they didn't have any. At this one they only get a dog, every so often. They gave us some places to go. There are quite a few places for cats though.

Last time we went to an animal shelter was a bit too soon after our pet passed away at 19 years old, so we didn't go back and then we moved away from there so haven't been to look till now.

Because there were no dogs, yesterday, our little insiders got a bit sad but they saw a couple of kittens and a rabbit. We also talked to some volunteers about our plans to have a dog someday and maybe a cat too. Then we got a bit overwhelmed because where we are going live, we will need to have an area where they can go to the bathroom and so that means a yard etc. Also, I have to know I can take care of it as much as it helps me. I need to have really good food and cozy places to sleep and be able to have some savings in case it needs to go to the vet. Our other dog was so healthy so I was a bit spoiled that way.

It helped us plan for the future when we went to the SPCA, yesterday. We might still go where we can pet some animals, too, in the meantime.

Here's hoping you are getting lots of time with your possible future safety/therapeutic and wonderful pet.
