Subject: What makes us different?
Author: zenhussy

Hello. I think you should begin a new thread and let us talk about time and losing time and being out and all those different words different systems call it. And AAAAALLLLLLSSSSOOO we could talk about how different it might feel from a part and a host . And why parts get time. ANNNDDDD why our stuff is never where we leave it. What makes us different? REPOSTED --fgh

Well fgh I agree a new post is needed for these things.

Losing time is a huge factor in my life this year........gets scarier the more it happens instead of becoming more familiar.

I'm not sure if my inners would post so you might only hear the 'host' perspective from me mostly. I would love to hear from others though as I need to learn how to better communicate with those inside. I haven't been the kindest 'host' one could be............however I didn't know any better and now that I do I no longer do those things.

As for things not being where we put them? Ay yi yi it is stinky to be losing important things all the time and being stressed about how stupid it feels to be an adult with the coping abilities of a wounded teen or a frightened little girl.

Yeppers fgh.........a new thread to start talking about sharing time and other matters was due. Here it is.

Yer turn!! What makes us different? REPOSTED

Glad you started a new thread.
I loose time.
It's ok until someone (3D world) says something that we did or said or where we've been and I don't know that I did. Right away I want to call them a liar. I know that's not right so now I try hard to not get angry and will listen.
I don't understand the host stuff I guess since I'm out a lot maybe I'm a host but threre are others too are they hosts too?
It really gets frustrating loosing stuff or when somebody (rolling of eyes) puts it somewhere else and doesn't tell me.
I'm not a very good host if that's what I am either cuz I don't like others coming out and I get mad at them. I'm learning to be nice.
It's really scary getting lost. I'll be on my way somewhere a place I've been a million times and then all of a sudden nothing looks familiar and I have no clue where I am. finally someone who knows helps.

WEEELLLL I get mad too. BE cause I do not feel like a part. I am just me! And then some body else just takes my time and I do not get to finish what I want or watching on tv (I DO get to watch a movie once in a while). And I get scared when some one gets lost and I find out and then I really hide. I do not want to be the one stuck some place because of them.
You can leave notes places to tell the others they can come here and write. You might have to tell how to do that and who is safest to write to. We used to get mad a lot but if we talk more then it is better. We do not talk much any more though. I do not know why. Too much stuff going on I think. But I get to come here yiippee! Our doctor says the person who HAS to do some thing HAS to tell the others maybe even OUT LOUD that this is real important and to let them drive or do what ever it is. That has helped us lots! We could not do it with out our doctor though. He helps lots. jj

sadly this was all that we had of this thread from old daily digests (used to be called daily archives) sent to e-mail. we recall this thread had more responses and we grieve the loss of the words of support and education that the members took their time to type out and post.

we're working through our grief. we're not carrying on. we're not raising a stink. we're dealing as best we're able with discovering the loss of many of our posts and threads and w/o explanations that make sense of all loose ends.

we're learning that we often have to work with things that don't make sense to us.

aaah.......life.

Hello. Me neither. I am 9 too! I did have to try and drive once but our T made sure that that does not happen again. It was scarey buuuttt I only had to keep the wheel straight for a little bit and some one else came and took over.

I am glad you are here mlyn. What do you like to do? I love to read and do puzzles. jj

Re: What makes us different?

I like your name. I did not dare use a name for coming here. I just picked the three letters in the middle of the keys. BUUUTT I have gone by jj for ever! Not real world NO body would understand that. I do not get to play with any body. I only get to really play when we go to Walt Disney World and no body there cares if you act silly. I love it . I hate leaving . I never get to do all the things I want to. BUUUTTT it is fun togo. I like to color shapes best. One of the grown ups bought us a book of mandalas. I did not know what that was but it is a symbol in a circle and shapes inside it and all. I see some one on here with that name. Do you like to color every thing or just trees and houses and stuff like that? When we color a mandala we cannot do it in the book but have to trace it first. Do you get to trace things? I like to do that too if I have a nice pencil. You havea to have a dull pencel to do it right. Do you get to trace? jj

It is fun to climb trees and run barefoot in dirt and lie in the grass and find pictures in the clouds.

Re: What makes us different?

Hi SC,
mny isn't here right now because of a post she got scared and now I'm here. Figured while I'm here I'll check it out and I've seen how you've been helpful and I want to thank you. I myself think all that stuff is goofy but I am learning it is ok and really it wouldn't be a bad thing if I found something I like or like to do. Protecting and learning how to do that in a good way is not exactly what I call fun. I never really thought of what I like or don't like.

Hi m-n-m!

You're welcome What makes us different? REPOSTED And thank you for telling me thank you. It makes me feel good!

I'm sorry mny got scared. Which post scared her? Maybe we can get it removed, if it's a bad post.

Have you posted before, m-n-m? I don't recognize your name, but it could just be because I'm stressed out this week! What makes us different? REPOSTED

So which stuff do you think is silly?

I think you're right- protecting and learning how to do that in a good way may not be fun, but it's worth it. It really is. And there is nothing more important than learning how to protect yourself (and the others, too) especially!

I think it would be a good idea for you to figure out what you like and like to do. Maybe you can try some different things out and then decide what you like.

Hi Angela,
Its ok I think the post got removed. No I hadn't posted before. I think some things that people like is silly but that's not nice to say, I'm sorry. I am going to try and find something I like because people seem happy when they do things they like to do.

No I haven't found anything I like yet. Did it take you a long time to find something you like? I'm just always busy making sure there is safety. I don't dislike that or like that just seems to be just the way it is. It seems so hard to find something.

sounds like you have a big job! Hmm.. yes i think it did take me a while to find something i like. i've tried a lot of things. and there have been things i've liked and then stopped liking, and things that i haven't liked and later changed my mind. maybe i can help you think of some things you would like. here are some things i like:

writing (poems, stories, just words about how i feel, whatever)
drawing pictures
singing
eating chocolate
looking at clouds in the sky
walking barefoot in grass
listening to music

do you think you might like any of those? if not, maybe we can think of some other things.

Hello. Do you like to play with clay? They have clay you can bake now and keep what you make. Do you like to water color? I like to do that buuuuttt do not get to. It is too much trouble for others. Some times some thing another likes to do is fun too. If you can find some thing like that then you have a better chance of getting to do it. jj

oh yes i do like to play with clay! i know about the clay you can bake to keep what you made, too. you can paint on that kind. i've done that. i painted a wizard and a dragon. what have you made with clay?

i also like to water color. i bought some new water colors just a few months ago and i painted a picture of me in a big green soft chair. that's a safe place for me, sort of.

maybe m-n-m would like some of these things!

Re: What makes us different?

Hello. Ohhhh I just post to the last post and can every one answer???
I like trees and aninmals to make in clay. Birds too. Buuuutt I do not get to bake them yet. We got the wrong clay and it melts. SOOOOooo it takes some one else to help me if I want to do any thing like that there.
There is some in our circles that throw my stuff away and others that hide it from us. I do not know if they are being mean or what. nona just puts stuff away for me though. She is the nicest to me but not always.
Do you have others who do this to you too?

Hi jj,

Yes everyone can answer if you reply to the last post. So don't worry! What makes us different? REPOSTED

It sounds like you make a lot of neat things in clay! Maybe you can leave a note by it that says "please don't throw this away or hide it. I want to keep it!" Do you think maybe some of them would leave your clay things alone if you did that?

I don't have others inside with me. I'm a "singleton." But I grew up with sisters and a brother, and when they moved or ruined my things, it made me SOO mad! So I know how frustrating it can be when other people hide or throw away your things.

Hi mny!

My brother and sisters didn't get away with telling me what to do because I'm the oldest, so I didn't listen to them. But they did try sometimes.

I'm sorry your clay tree didn't work. Maybe you can make something that doesn't break apart so easy, so it won't get ruined.

I think I'm a nice big sister. I try to help my little sisters and brother when I can. And I care about them. I'm grown up now (22 years old), so I don't live with them anymore. But we usually have fun when we see eachother.

Maybe you can find a recipe for clay on the internet. My mom used to make clay. I'll ask her for a recipe when I talk to her, just in case you don't find one. What makes us different? REPOSTED

Re: What makes us different?

I have a recipe for Playdoh. I don't know how well it bakes. There was a recipe for more like a clay, or plaster, that bakes really well (I made buttons out of it and painted them), but I can't find that one right now. We just moved, so I can't find anything. That one was from a box of cornstarch, and I liked the way it turned out. It was nice and smooth.

Here's the Playdoh recipe:

1 cup flour
1 cup water
1/2 cup salt
2 teaspoons cream of tartar
1 tablespoon oil
1 tablespoon vanilla
food coloring

Mix ingredients in saucepan - cook 4 to 5 minutes until it pulls away from the sides of the pan. Knead as soon as possible. Store in airtight container.

Re: What makes us different?

Hello. When you color do you out line it all first. Do you out line in black or in the color you are coloring it? I like to out line and then color lightly. Once I made a color drawing and then colored dark with black, and then scraped the black crayon off and it made it look like night in the picture. My biggest sister taught me how to made things look like they shine. You color a circle with white to the top on the side and it looks that way.

Does any one in your circle or system have hobbies? May be you might like one of theirs. One of us makes collages. (Is that right?) Only she uses lots of words to tell the doctor how she is feeling. SOME times she lets me add some too BUUUTTT not very often. AND she is very sad lots of times and I do not want to even read what she pastes on her pages. That is what we call them, pages. jj

this was unknown to us until this morning when our inbox contained links to the network to start removing our data from his machines. something good out of something not so good at least.

we loved the kool-aid colouring suggested by Rapunzel. homemade playdoh can be great when the mood strikes.

zh, I'm glad you were able to find things you thought had been lost forever! That's such a neat feeling! I know it was very important to you!

yep, play-doh sounds great. We have been collecting rocks. It's been very helpful and peaceful to most of us. This past Tuesday in t, we went through the rocks and it was so relaxing! T looked at every one that he was shown. He was very nice. We spent the rest of the time talking about things done to help self relax and "escape" way back. My eyes were heavy, I was so relaxed!

Too, we do an etching kinda picture thing. It has a little tool that you scratch away black stuff and foil is underneath and it comes through and makes a pretty picture. We also do paint by numbers. These things I am talking about about can be shared and is so, so, so fun and feels good! Best of all though, they help to calm all.
