Hi such is life..., welcome to Psych Central!

All your posts will automatically have your username on them. What you call yourself (or invite others to call you) is pretty much up to you. Some members use only their username, some prefer another name or nickname that may or may not have anything to do with what's on their (or their host's) driver's license, and some sign a post with the name of the alter who's speaking at the time.

DocJohn recommends that, to protect your privacy, you avoid posting any personally identifying information such as your real name. It's hard to call it back once it's out there.

You can learn more about posting, pictures, etc., by reading the FAQ, some of the posts in the Community Feedback & Technical Support forum, and especially the Tutorials & How-To's subforum there. You're already finding your way around and learning to use some of the features; just keep doing that! If you should get stuck, try posting in the Community Feedback & Technical Support with as specific a question as possible. Hope this helps!

if you go thru your profile, and edit profile, you can make a signature like mine is down there. that, i think, is easier to identify your self, and you dont have to explain much who is talking, just put your name ya know? like right now i'm talkin but some of the others use this too. good luck. you can talk to me. if you click on my name you can send me a private message and we can talk.

attentionThis is an old thread. You probably should not post your reply to it, as the original poster is unlikely to see it.
