What does everyone think? I would really like the family to have input as to what we call her.

It really makes her feel special

Songbird

SongBirdandDaisy

Here are my contributions. SongBirdandDaisy

Blossom (English) Flower-like

Aldora (in Greek it means Winged Gift)

Shaylee (Celtic/Gaelic) Fairy princess of the field

Your fairy is called Feather Rainbowshimmer

She is a fortune bringer.

She lives in high places where the clouds meet the earth.

She is only seen when the first flowers begin to blossom.

She wears pale blue like the sky.

She has multicoloured wings like a butterfly.

Songbird whatever you decide to call yourself is a fine and special name in itself because it is something that you get to choose. so many times in a survivors life where there were things and names we were called as children that were not our chioce or we felt we were that because that is what people thought of us or wanted to call us. I personally like that you came on here as a songbird. There is a beautiful song by Lynn Anderson called song bird or snow bird or something like that at the moment the title eludes me but everytime I see the name Songbird I think of that beautiful song.

If we are talking about the picture again great name.

My little butterfly only hides in corners holding her tattered blanker, sucking her thumb, and crying. She's always afraid. But, she is very interested in what you're doing. She's watching with curiosity and my heart cries as I see her "notice". She's so withdrawn, this is the first time ever that she has shown any kind of movement. Thank you for this wonderful gift, all of you SongBirdandDaisy

Funny how you picked a Greek name. I am half Greek and half German. But, for how pretty the Greek name is, my father is Greek. Do I overcome the tie and pick Aldora because I like the interpretation - she is a gift, she just doesn't see it yet.

I don't know, what does everyone think? I think this is a positive thing that we are doing for her because she's noticing. How wonderful and magical! She never ever notices, only hides and cries.

Fluffy White Bear

I would like to hear your suggestion anyway. T says I have to practice making decisions and realizing that I do have a choice, so, if you give me some choices, then I can make a decision!

Goes back to not using my emotions to help make decisions. I analyze everything and there is a lot of information to consider after 40 years. So, I am trying to learn to use my emotions (which I deny most of the time) to help me make decisions. See how simple that is (she said sarcastically).

these are great names - down to earth - the Native Americans, as I understand, lived by the earth and it is their spiritual guide - my sisters spirit is a medicine man - anyway, how appropriate these names are because I love nature and feel most comfortable around it. Except for the snakes and bears.

Keep them coming, this weekend I am going to put together a poll with all the wonderful suggestions and narrow it down.

Waiting for Fluffy White Bear and Caroline and a few others!

This is loads of fun! SongBirdandDaisy SongBirdandDaisy SongBirdandDaisy SongBirdandDaisy

SongBirdandDaisy I think she likes Shaylee. It's kind of hard to tell because she's so quiet and withdrawn. I'm not sure how to bring her out or even if it's a good idea to do so. If she doesn't want to, then maybe I shouldn't. But she's so scared . . . . .

just be patient with her.

Your doing wonderfully it seems so far!

I would just sort of be there for her and show her/do things you think she might enjoy and I think she will guide you or you will know.

What a sweet little flutterbug!!! A drop of nectar on your finger may coax her out, if you are very quiet and hold still.
I'm glad I don't have to pick her name, there are some good ones suggested.!.
