Alters

Here you go everybody. Someone mentioned colors and it made me remember that someone suggest i do this, i just dont remember who. But here we go. I've listed us at the bottom. I hope you guys can tell who you are talking to now.
If i have missed anyone and there is a new color just ask them. Or my host will add someone if he sees theres someone missing. Hope you all know us now. - Verges.

thanks for the colors, Please dont get upset if I dont recognize all your different alters by color....

I couldnt remember who all my different alters were and certainly couldnt remember all their names, all their different favorite colors, clothing and what have you....

I know I wont ever be able to keep who's alter on PC uses orange vs green and gosh it gets even more confusing for me when more than one poster uses the same color here on PC to designate everyone within their internal system of alters when they post...

My standard is not to even try keeping all the different fonts used here on psych central straight.. I go according to the main posters name that appears at the side of the posts designating which account name is being used. So much easier for me because each body and internal system belonging to that body can only have one account.. and the way I keep each "account name" when Im not sure if Im thinking of the right PC member, I go back and read that members past posts, this jogs my memory of who the poster is.

By the way we have many people from many different geographic locations that speak and write in their native languages, and spell according to their own location, language, customs, cultural backgrounds, spelling abilities.....gosh theres so many different ways people here on psych central spell the same words...

and each and every way is totally acceptable here.

yes there are some words that can trigger another psych central member, but with thousands and thousands of members there's absolutely no way to know what words will trigger who.

examples

the word "the" used to trigger me real bad.. Does that mean every poster must stop using all their various ways of writing the word "the" in their posts?

no it doesnt.. it means when things are triggering me so ***I*** must take care of myself when reading posts on psych central so that I will be okay. and on ***my*** hard days when I come up to a post /poster that is triggering left and right today I go into that posters profile and put them/the triggering posts on the ignore list so that I wont be needlessly triggered by posts that may be upsetting me that day.

we are all supposed to take care of ourselves on Psych Central, it isnt your (the posters) job to not spell "alters" as "altars" because it may trigger me, its my job to take care of that trigger myself and accept you for how ever you are even if you dont spell words the same way I do..

though there are some words I understand that the automatic censure and the moderators do change or edit because they are the most standard unacceptable words when posting, each PC member gets to post their own ways, including how they choose to spell a word.

so using your word...welcome to psych central to you and all your altars with in your internal system, and if writing in colors is what ***you*** would like to do when you all post, that is fine,

but again please dont be upset when I dont recognize everyone with in your internal system by their colors, my brain doesnt work that way, so I choose to go according to account names, not all the different colors I see in the posts. (not to mention I do like many others here on psych central have some colors that do trigger me, but Im not going to ask you not to use them, my being triggered by some colored fonts doesnt mean you cant use those colors, it just means ****I**** have to take care of myself when ****I ***read posts where those colors show up)

He thanks a lot for the ubur massive, long reply. None of us mind if you get a little confused, Some people in our body's are still unknown and may speak to you or other that arn't on our color code. Verges was advised to do this apparent for other sake. Some are greatfull as the fine it easier. John is fine but some of us can be a bit picky yet i hope you wont take it as an offence if any of us correct it to Our right name.
I under stand totally about trigers. John had one today That triggered a littlun and some upset. But its okay.

We remember whos what from being told and seeing certan things..
Im so glad we are all accepted. Its nice to Sort of fit in.

it is fine you are just looking out out or others .

never thought of mine in colors - just names and ages (likes and dislikes) - colors would be really hard for me to learn (too many parts)
