I'm still feeling new here, but I want to ask how you are doing since you said you are ending therapy this month. In the short time I've been here, you have already been supportive of me, and I've read so many other posts where you are very supportive, insightful, and thoughtful--you are a beautiful person. Just want you to know that I'm thinking about you.

Thank you so much!!! I needed this today. How did you know? Today my heart hurts really bad. I'm good, but incredibly sad and reflecting. I still feel OK with this, but am allowing myself to feel the pain of separation. This is one thing I've done right in my life, and I'm going to allow myself to feel it...all of it.

I have a wedding that I'm singing at in two days and getting sick. I don't know what I'm going to do there. The song is moving and every time I go to sing it (practice) I cry which is making the sinus infection act up even more. I might be in trouble for the wedding. I'm getting worse instead of better. I'm really worried about that as well. I've never not been able to perform when promised. I half raised this precious girl when she was little and she asked me for the first time to sing at her wedding when she was five years old. I CAN'T NOT. *freaking*

I just so needed this support today. Thank you so much.

I'm am sure that you will somehow come through on Saturday. Like you said, "I've never not been able to perform when promised."

I don't know how you feel about taking medicine; maybe you could get on a nasal steroid tomorrow just to help take care of the sinus infection. As for the crying, maybe you could pretend that you are singing it to a crowd of dogs dressed up in people's clothing (or whatever image you would find amusing). Some people do that when they do public speaking.

I wish I had some kind of suggestion for you but I am afraid I would feel the same as you do. Know that I am thinking of you and wishing you the best.

I am so sorry that you have to go thru this right now, it sounds like that you are doing the best you can but still grieving the special relationship with T, which you have stated is a normal process, but still it is a painful one. It is so "you" to offer the gift of your voice to this very special person in your life...you are in my thoughts and prayers..

It's the strangest thing...I started getting sick but fought like the dickens and prayed that I didn't let this precious girl down who was counting so much on me. I sang and it was fine...everyone said so. I went pretty far back as I'm not the natural performer. Everyone said it was beautiful and perfect.

Two hours later I lost my voice completely and it's still gone! Just gravel when I try to talk. Me or my higher power (or both) had been able to keep that off until after the wedding. I'm amazed.

Thank you so much for the support, friends. I've needed it...so much.

I'm glad the wedding went well. Its awful to have to sing when your sick. I'm glad it turned out well.

Losing your voice stinks too. I lose mine a lot from talking too much at work . chamomile tea with lots of honey sometimes helps. Hope you feel better soon.
