On the OWN network Oprah is showing past guest Trudy Chase a lady with 90+ distinct personalities. Today's show is about the abuse that led to the dissociative disorder. I hope this show serves as an encouragement & support for you.

sorry but I did not watch it. usually I dont watch or read such things like this because of the highly triggering nature of the type of traumatic events that causes a person to become DID to begin with.

many DID people that I know have a hard time discussing and working on their own Dissociative issues let alone sitting through an interview of some else going into detail about how they were abused in the most horrific ways.

here where I live and work, people with Dissociative issues usually dissociate when exposed to trauma, and trauma filled discussions even with their own therapists its very hard for a dissociative to stay grounded and focused on discussing things of a traumatic nature.

i couldnt even read the book.
