Hi, I was diagnosed with DID (officially) in February. It is so scary. And confusing. I try and try to communicate with the alters, but it doesn't work very well. I only know names of two. S and J. S is very angry and cynical. J is very sexual. I'm not sexual in the least. She keeps texting a guy as well and setting up meeting times. It's very scary. I hate it. I wish she would stop.

I understand you completely, I am struggle also with my alters, But i realize looking away does not help. They have always been there now you are aware of them the only thing you can do is trying to work with them, try to understand why they are like they are. And if it is too much for yourself and them, search for safety, ask for help from your therapist.

I wish you the best.

I text or call my therapist everyday. Which helps to ground me.

Thank you.

Hi,
I understand how you feel. I was diagnosed about 3 wks ago during an EMDR session. 4 child alters came out.
It blew me away!
It's weird though I've always had this kind of knowing that I had it.
I am finding it hard to get to know my system.
Some parts come out a lot more than others.
I feel like there are some that haven't come out at all
Sometimes I am co-conscience

I hope we can help each other learn more about DID

I've never been co-conscious.

I have one that comes out probably the most right now. And she's horrible. I wish she wouldn't come out. She gets me in trouble.

I hear the baby crying a lot.

I hope we can help each other too.
