edited to add: not feeling very safe, supported, or secure in this forum. haven't for some time now. these are OUR feelings. these are our own issues and not related to anyone or thing thinking they're about them. the universe we exist in revolves around the sun......not other ppl!

treatment for our disease/disorders isn't easy nor are there days/weeks where we bemoan how awful it is w/o doing a blessed thing about it.....daily struggle and fight is how we've survived and how we'll continue to survive and keep on towards that goal of thriving. we do not expect hugs nor want them. we merely seek understanding from those who actually experience similar........those that live the reality of months passing by and it only feeling like three days. that's different than spacing out on way to work and not remembering the drive. ya know?!

zh, those of us with DID are able to understand , those who care about us can only empathize, not experinceing the full world we are in

ah. gotcha. thx for clarification as it makes sense. we often are frustrated or confused when we ask for specifics in support and feel jumped on when others suggest we accept all support given as beggars can't be choosers.

as for us and our abuses and abusers? we didn't choose them. for now we'd like to choose our support when we're able to explicitly express a wish for certain kinds of support as that helps empower us in feeling HEARD and listened to and validated. all things lacking during years of abuse and dissociative ways of coping.

making sense? we're not trying to shove off those who care but sometimes caring isn't enough in what we seek.....another thread somewhere is similar with watching what we post....if support or advice and looking at whether or not either was asked for. ramble.....today is a sickie day. wishing meds were leveling out instead of still readjusting and leaving us whacko w/ feeling ick sick and bleck.
