Can someone please explain possesion trance state or dissociative trance disorder to me?

Why do this happend and what´s the prognosis? Has anyone else experienced this? I´ve tried to do some research on Google, but it all seems a bit weird to me.

There are many countries in this world we call earth, Each country/location/culture/.... calls mental disorders by different names. what other countries may call Possession Trance State and Dissociative Trance Disorder America is now calling Dissociative Identity Disorder, Dissociative Amnesia, Depersonalization/Derealization, Other Specified Dissociative Disorder and UnSpecified Dissociative Disorder, depending upon what symptoms the person has, what diagnostic criteria they meet and how their dissociative symptoms affect them...

here is where you can read about the dissociative Disorders as they are recognized here in America by the American Psychiatric Association in the DSM 5.....
