learning to accept did

i can't hide from it anymore.

on top of everything else going on with me, i have also been diagnosed as DID- and i'm still finding it hard to accept

i know it's not just going to go away and i know that i have to learn to accept it all

but how..

for ages i just thought it was something else

Denial is a big part and we all go through that but you are on the right path now...

it took me ages to post in this section- but i've been viewing it for some time now (sort of building myself up to starting a thred)

I still can't accept my DIagnosis. Still think they're wrong. I understand it more, but just can't accept it.
Doesn't help when H says,"it's All in ur head."
I guess it is.

It can be devastating, but somewhere inside it fits. I hope you find peace with that. I had a harder time accepting I was bipolar myself. Not all of me would believe it, but I also believe I have over lapping symptoms.

Fighting it is going to prolong treatment. I've quite meds numerous of times to only end up worse than before. I'm a believer now.

I am an alter and the host personality- or leader. There are times when another one is on here. Most of my alters don't care of posting online. And when some do, it can be pretty embarrassing or shocking when I read was written.

I quit another forum after one got rude and blunt with another member, so we have a no posting rule in our system unless approved by me. So far so good...(fingers crossed).

we go by " utopia", which is the name of our system

1 of our alters (1 of the more distructive ones) has her own email acount and her own way of thinking

cost us a membership to a forum that we'd been using for ages- she signed up without any of us knowing (she usually does things without telling us), and the administrators got mad at us and banned us from the site.

and we really miss it

I just had the same thing happened. I was so embarrassed and shock, when I read what was written on my account. I deleted app, will return when they forget.

I rapid bipolar switch, and changing polar seems normal. Feels like a to jet blast and a free fall.

Of course a couple alters under "house arrest" are mafia gangsters, bikers, dope runners, mostly male alters.
