I so know what you mean. It's amazing isn't it. But I think our brains were designed so that no one would know because we needed that protection at some point in our lives.

Sometimes I just think, don't these people see that I am not making it? Don't they realize it's too much for me? But the fact is that what they see is someone who does what is needed and gets done what needs to get done.

They don't know that I don't remember doing this and was not present for that. They don't see me struggling because this part of the brain that thinks life is too overwhelming is off in space while other parts of my brain carry on.

The problem for me often comes in when there has to be consistency. While on the outside things look like everything is going on as usual, often times there is no consistency in what is done.

I'm thankful most people can't tell though. It would have been so unsafe if people realized what went on for us, I think, when we needed that protection the most.

I'm glad you're here. I hope things settle down for ya'll very soon.

It is amazing, you, the brain, all that! Yes, while each part is so very different, it isn't until you tell someone, and help them see how you are different, that they will take notice... ppl see "Angie" as ALL of you... with different moods, abilities etc... probably very efficient You aren't much different than singletons... except that instead of the continuity of information (where Angie WOULD know all that you are doing for her)... Singletons don't have the time segmented as we realize that we are feeling "small" or "silly" or "business like" when we need to or want to...

I'm glad Angie has you to help her in times like this...you must be very good at handling stress, Iris. TC!
