Hello all, I decided to quit my crying for a second and share with you a book I just finished reading. Its an autobiography called "I Am We." This was an amazing book and it really helped me learn a lot about DID. What I like about the book is that it discusses DID from a personal view, rather than the clinical view you'll get from online searches and the DSM-5. I found this book to be a great read. Its broken down so that each of the woman's alters take turns writing certain portions. Even her husband and therapist wrote part of the book too! The story was both informative and emotionally touching. I laughed and cried reading the book. Though the author's DID differs from my own personal experience, I still managed to take from the story ideas for my own treatment. I recommend this book to everyone with DID, and to anyone who cares about someone who has DID. I believe its also a great read for therapists and psychology students as well.

Does sound like a good book. I'm usually of the opinion that if a book can help, it's worth its weight in gold.

Alwayschanging2, I swear the book reminded me of you because she co-hosted and was aware of most of the alters. Her father was also abusive growing up.
