I'm asking what you personally do. This has been a problem recently and besides grounding myself, I'm not sure what to do.

I generally need help grounding if it gets too intense. Other than that, I try to avoid the triggers and keep "checking in" with myself to make sure I stay present. If I notice myself starting to dissociate, I can try to ground myself by going out into nature, spending time with my animals, listening to music, going for a walk... There are other not so great methods, but I won't advocate those.
Can you pinpoint why it's been getting worse lately? |

i have variations of dissociating. when it is so bad that i am not able to move, i haven't found that any grounding technique has helped. i just have to go through it which can be really scary.
sometimes being around people can pull me out depending on who i am with. |

I'll zone out and I can't come back, no matter how much I try. I feel unreal, like a ghost. The world is moving around me, but I'm in another galaxy. I've tried grounding but only works for a minute, once the stimulus is gone, I'm out again. This is really upsetting me because I just started a new internship (and it's hard) and I look like an idiot, but I remember talking to someone, but not for how long or what was said.

I take Abilify and I've been doing Acceptance and Commitment Therapy with my counselor. It's helped but I'm still working on it.
