Much like a functioning alcoholic...which I'm no way am, even though I can't drink before noon, but I thnk were all alcoholics in ths family which makes it 1000X harder to cease drinkng.

On the same thought, I am, and always have been, a functioning multiple. It wasn't until recent we said we are..l.nvm the last 30 years.

Anyways, we have been excellent imposters, actors, fakers, and illusionists as to what we really are.

It's over, so tired of faking, especially that we know.

Where to go fom here? Who knows. Life is all about bumping off of bumpers only able to do whatever is available. Some get lucky and go big, some manage, some struggle. I'm managing to almost not struggle.

But, I seem to daily manage moment to moment. We are that good.

Great job all of you on making it through moment by moment, for relying on each other, and doing the best you can to make through each day!

yeah - life is sure easier before we know.... but once we know, there's no going back, eh?
Well, maybe not easier... just different. I'm glad to be not as dissociative any longer. it was really problematic. I guess I'd rather have the people inside doing their own thing than the dissociative fog where I never really knew what was happening.
We (all DID's) are highly functioning - until we're not

Not understanding why this was ever posted, but we've always been a functioning multiple like everyone of you, that's just the way we survive daily.

I really don't think "not knowing" actually made it any easier because it was confusing, perplexing, difficult, couldn't understand what was happening....

Being aware of this condition though has its pluses like understanding why things go the way they go, why life gets so interesting at times that I want to pull my hair out! Ugh! Lol
