Little Jennifer play... she colored with purplesecrets (i believe) and Jennifer enjoyed that very much. However, Little Jennifer doesnt understand playing that well and she doesnt know how to intereact with others.... she is about 7 yrs old and I am not sure how to help her...
I am still having some reservations, not sure why... maybe fear of losing control or maybe being lost.... anyway taking it slow... She wants to talk mostly... I am thinking about having her start a thread in the garden and just start by telling what she likes and what interests her...

Serenityswave--
Little Vickie enjoyed Little Jennifer the other day. It was nice to have someone color with her. SHe is very quiet also and very scared. But you were very welcome there with us and it was nice having someone there with her. Little Vickie does not know how to play either, she never has played, always hid. The garden was new to her also, as she has never done anything like that before. She never got to enjoy her colors before without them being taken and broken all to pieces. She knew you were there even though she was very quiet. She will go back to the garden it will just take time for her to feel safe there. But you are always welcome to come color and maybe in time they will be able to play. Know that anytime we are there, you can come color with us. Quiet yes, but she is just a little girl learning for the first time the meaning of safety. Thank you for coloring with her the other day. purplesecrets-inside |

I know it's not always possible, but if you could buy some colors and a coloring book, that would be very nice. Also, play dough is wonderful thing for littles to have so they can play.
Hugs, Jan

I think that sounds like a wonderful idea. I have teddy bears, coloring books, and a box full of art supplies that are always handy in case either of my younger parts make an appearance.
I think just take it one step at a time.. she will learn to talk more and more as she realizes she is safe. We are here for you ![]() |
