just wondering if anyone here actually has diffrent birthdays to when you were born, and when you are due to celebrate.

our actual birthday is in january (that's the month on our birth certificate) but actually, as a system, we've decided that our birthday should be on april 10th- and disregard the fact we were born in a diffrent month

anyone else

Every part has it's own.
I've found out that the body's is May 20th so this is my date
Vlad is on the 21st of May
Waidth is on 31st of October
Cari is on 16th of June
Evee is on 1st of May
Annie is on 6th of February
And we usually buy and hide a present for all, especially for the littles, and we make mini parties for everyone especially since Waidth and Evee are on Pagan holidays and we are all Pagans so it's the double celebration then (Waidth is "born" at New Year so yeah can imagine for what kind of celebration we are talking here) It's our own little traditions we cook food for that person and so on.

thanks for respondind.

in our system, we all just scrapped the idea of individual birthdays, and chose to celebrate (or not), on april 10th.

shows how all systems are diffrent

If I learnt one thing from this site, is that every system is a lot different! April 10th is a nice date! Will try to remember and send you a wish!

I only have one birthday, and I try and ignore it.

We are terrible with dates, so just having one is fine with us. Some of us don't seem to age at all anyways.

We used to do birthweeks instead of birthdays, but I'd rather do without birthdays today- already had plenty enough.

my internal system was built on the do not tell or suffer great harm (something my abusers would say to me during the trauma's) because of this all alters and body born person had the same birthday so as not to call attention to the fact that there were others, that the trauma happened, and not to call attention to the secrets we had to hide.

I can see why my system was like this....can you see it a 5 year old in a 10 year old body says at school its my birthday and everyone at school knows the body born birthday is not that day...teachers pulling child aside asking why are you saying today is your birthday when you know it is not whats going on are you ok, parents thinkig the child is lying questions that child and disciplines them for lying. siblings picking fights with the one saying its my birthday when its not the body born persons birthday...

yea something my system could not afford to happen. I had to not tell or get hurt so all my alters had the same birthday, that of the body born.
Thanks for this!
