So some inside ones are in the process of making contact with an old counsellor who was instrumental in getting us removed from our family and put into foster care over 30 years ago. They found the counsellor listed at a family counselling centre and counsels children, families and individual adults. The inside ones are in email contact with the admin who is taking them through the intake process.

I am not sure where this is going but I respect that others within have a need for this to happen... as in, it will close a chapter or heal something for them. The inside ones want to tell the counsellor what they could not speak of back then. They want to tell their truth.

I wonder how this will all work out.

I also hope it works out well!!

I'm learning the importance of listening to my other parts and have felt a relief and comfort from them. It was kind of strange to me at first, but validating them and showing them the respect of listening and responding to them has really been a growth experience for us all.

I too hope this works out for you all. One thing you might want to keep in mind. many mental health agencies around the USA no longer have a choice as to who they place their clients with...

short version if in the USA how the mental health system now works is through insurance plans. All Americans must now have health insurance. the health insurance company sends each of those signed up with them a members handbook. in the members handbook is a list of treatment providers that the insurance company has on their insurance plan.

many insurance companies are now pre- assigning their members treatment providers according to a quota number per treatment provider. Calling your insurance company will get you the information on who they have assigned you as your mental health treatment provider.

in some cases the insurance company allows its members to choose a treatment provider from the accepted list of treatment providers in the member handbook. But again if a treatment provider has met their quota for number of patients the insurance company says sorry that treatment provider is full your treatment provider is going to be so and so instead because they have the room for more clients.

also with the new way america is doing its health care system mental health agencies cant always give their clients the treatment provider they ask for. All the T's get crossed and I's dotted and then bang insurance company says sorry that treatment provider has met their quota they can not have this treatment provider. so to avoid this problem many mental health agencies are also using a quota system where they have an intake person do all the paperwork then look on the agencies list of treatment providers, match the paperwork with which ever therapist or psychiatrist that has not reached their maximum number of clients.

my point please be aware that there is a big possibility that your insiders might not be able to get the treatment provider of choice. if and when this happens there may be some upset, and problems. now might be a good time to work on a plan for just in case this happens. since you have co consciousness abilities maybe have some discussions with your insiders about how the health care system now works and its nothing they are doing wrong if they end up not getting the treatment provider from the past.

AL, there is no problem with any of that. We are not in America and the admin is setting us up with the counsellor we asked to see.
