hi
i dont come here very much. My M*m called last week and she was all upset and crying because of her bf drinking and she kept talking about our step*ather and how great he was etc. she new what he did to us she just doesn't belive it.it hurts and makes things very hard on us when she does this. i am not sure what to do. We try to be there for her even though she doesnt understand us and throughs us out when something is wrong. we do not have a T anymore because the Director of the mhc we were attending wont let us work with her because the director doesnt like the fact that this therapist recongnizes and talks to all of us individually. the clinic wanted us to see someone else who will not recognizes us as being seperate and we wont so now we dont have anyone. please we could use some support. we are having back and shoulder problems too. our regular doctor doesnt like to give out psychiatric meds so i dont know how we are going to get them. the psychiatrist at the clinic we wont see because of what the director at the clinic has done.

I understand how you feel about not seeing a T who won't treat you seperately, BUT can you just grin and bear it?

Go and see this T at least until you can figure out some other way to handle this.

She might be able to get you in to see a psychiatrist for your meds.

Is there another clinic in town you could go to?

Also, see if you can call and talk to your old T and ask her to please help you. She might have some ideas that would work.

As far as your mother is concerned, you just need to bite the bullet and tell her you just can't talk about him anymore, it's too upsetting.

Good luck and keep us posted.
