Hi folks,
A little while ago I read a book on Complex PTSD which was really conversational. The amazon book reviews describe it better than I can. Anyhow, I was wondering if anyone here had similar-style books they could recommend on DID or OSDD-1? Thanks! |

The first book I read about dissociation was "Stranger in The Mirror" by Dr Marlene Steinberg. It opened my mind and my eyes.
"The Body Keeps the Score" by Dr Bessel van der Kolk has become my "this is what happened to me" book. I would recommend it to anyone who deals with dissociative issues and trauma. "Waking the Tiger" by Peter A. Levine is the book I am currently reading. It's also a very helpful book for me. To me it explains the fight/flight/freeze in very easy to understand language. |

If it helps, the first book was an eye opener. It has self tests for the different parts of dissociation. The results for me shocked me.
The second book gave me much explanation to why. If that makes sense. The one I'm reading now, Waking the Tiger, gives more "logical" explanation to me of "why?" if that makes sense. I hope that helps you! I was looking for information and answers and these helped me a lot.
