I'm just wondering..
Am I allowed to post here without being directed to consult
"My therapist"

I do not have a "therapist" irl
I do not wish to have a "therapist" irl
The "therapists" I have consulted irl have done little to help and have done much to harm

I live in the uk
This is just my experience

I'm someone that usually places that in my posts. I am sorry if that bothers you. maybe if I explain why I do that it will help you...

my language and working can sometimes bother people, sometimes make them think I am diagnosing or telling them they have to do something or be a certain way. sometimes that leads to communication problems.

the result a long time ago I started adding a standard/ routine statement in my posts so that who ever reads my posts will see that Im not telling anyone to be a certain way, Im not trying to diagnose anyone.

I cant remember who on psych central has a therapist vs medical doctor, vs psychiatrist or none at all so I use the general term ....treatment provider... and then leave it up to the other person to think .....that applies to me or that doesnt apply to me so I pass on that suggestion. kind of like if someone posted something about a dog as a suggestion but the person is a bird person not dogs, they dont bother applying the suggestion of getting a dog because it doesnt fit them.

my point if my routine reply include checking with a treatment provider and it doesnt apply to you, thats ok. its just my standard routine part of my reply because I cant remember out of thousands of psych central members who has this or that or no treatment providers.
