Hey, is anyone else being thrown off by this eclipse? I am noticing I am having more problems and more panic. I'd like to know if anyone else is?

We're having more minor things than normal. More insomnia, a little bit more psychotic symptoms (also schizoaffective), more aggravation. Natural stuff always gets us tho. Full moons, changes in weather, etc.

no, no dissociation problems here because of the eclipse. Short version I wasnt even born when the last eclipse where the sun/moons shadows spanned the whole USA in whats called the "totality zones" happened back in the 1970's therefore nothing triggering happened to me during an eclipse. for me the eclipse is a non threatening, non triggering event. even if it was a triggering event for me my treatment providers would not call it part of my dissociation problems because things like religious and cultural practices have to be ruled out. so even if the eclipse triggered me because of my religion or because of my native american background my treatment providers would have treated it just like any other anxiety/ phobia...

Another positive with me, my dissociation is trigger related, so if I was still had alters anything that triggered me another alter who could handle things like science, the planets / stars/ sun would take control and handle those things for me.

heres something that may help those that are triggered by this once in a lifetime event....find your favorite book, dont turn on the tv, dont go on the internet (internet / cell service may briefly get interrupted due to so many users on at the same time. dont travel to the totality zones where the total eclipse will be visible and going dark for a matter for a few minutes. .....in other words use all those great self care, and stress reduction tools.

if you are in the totality zones ask inside, find out which of your alters have the sense of agency to deal with science class in in preschool, elementary school, high school, those alters that deal with sunny summer days when looking up at the stars and moon are possible and so on.

If you were exposed to the full eclipse, you were probably serialized. That is right! Exposure to full eclipses can cause serialization. Your body was so used to being bombed by radiation from the sun, the lack of radiation causes sterilization. You probably will not be able to sire a child now.

That's a pretty big illogical assumption there Michel W Harris. Going out on a limb here to say I am pretty sure eclipses don't have that effect on anyone. There's that whole night time thing that happens for about a third of every 24 hour period...
Thanks for this!
