In the last five months I am experiencing a feeling of familiarity. I live in a new state and it took a while to calm my anxiety. For the last five months I have been having moments of feeling like I did 10, 20 thirty years ago. It a good feeling. I feel like I exist. It feels good but I don't know why i am feeling this way. Or if people feel this way normally. I havent felt this in so long it scares me but at the same time I would like to always feel like this.
Thanks for this!

I occasionally experience very strange feelings that I have sometimes labeled nostalgia, but it’s some kind of unknowable nostalgia. The way you describe it seems like the same thing I feel sometimes, especially how it’s familiar, old, almost frightening, but very good. I also wondered if anyone else ever feels that. I never thought I’d hear someone else describe anything like it. I don’t have any insight about that kind of feeling, but I’m glad you posted because it’s a comfort just to know someone else has experienced it too.

Are you having the same feeling throughout the day?

When I become aware of the feeling it subsides. I try to let myself feel it. It's a familiar feeling and I believe I felt it often 20 years ago. It makes me wonder if this feeling is what non DID people feel all the time.
