do you mean something like this.... when I googled feeling alone in the world and universe this is what google gave me...

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Solipsism

my own doctors call this depersonalization/ derealization disorder in me.
maybe you can contact a doctor where you are that can tell you what it is named in your city or town.
Thanks for this!

Why yeah sure. I feel that everything has an unreal quality about it....even me at times. I have never have felt alone though because of the peanut gallery in my head never quits.....butI can see where a singleton could feel that way.

Feel free to post here...all is welcome.
Thanks for this!

Not a dumb question at all. And agreed, feel free to post away. I'm sure you won't be the only one around here who lives a life where things do not seem real. I get like that sometimes... things not seeming real. Stress sets things like that off for me. I remember a time where I was wandering around like, 'woah am i on the truman show?'. I do a lot of reality checking during those times and may or may not poke my lamp to see if it is actually a cardboard cutout or something. Not trying to be weird or anything, but I have some issues and do a lot of reality checking and use humor as a way to cope... it helps me... even when it is not very funny.

wow, yeah that article is a really accurate description of how i feel. youve gave me something to look into, thanks, really.

and telling my mental health workers is something ive already attempted many times, but its so strange, they brush it off and dont seem to want to acknowledge it atall. this in itself just furthers my belief that im in some sort of construct but not supposed to acknowledge the fact, if you get me? if im making any sense at all? lol. its such a mind **** even for me.

humor is a great way to cope, and the suckier the stuff your dealing with the funnier it can be to joke about it.. maybe thats just me lol. kind of a lead balloon attitude if you get me. i appreciate someone else who can use humor as a coping method.

and duuude 'the truman show' is like the only way i can describe how im feeling without going into a tangent. the world almost seems like a parody of itself sometimes.
..also it just occured to me, truman - true man. lol, only took me 19 years to get that.

thanks for the reply and being welcoming
