Anyone have intense DBT trauma focused therapy for 2 weeks or more? How that work? Or maybe even DBT that was a short term? I had it in 2009 or 2010, for a month or so not even sure and was kicked out on a DBT vacation. At the time I my diagnosis of DID was not known, and here I am trying to get into a residential treatment and find out that it's for 2 weeks of DBT... wow!!

I'm not a huge fan of DBT, but there are some DBT skills that I find helpful. Is the program you are looking at only offering DBT or DBT along with other stuff? If only DBT, I would keep looking-but that is based on my DID diagnosis so your situation may be different.

The residential treatment offered at a particular inpatient setting is trauma focused DBT, and I was surprised it's only 2 weeks. I really don't feel that is going to help right now. My teenage parts are already rebellion against. Not interested in it. Its not going to work if all aren't on board.
